CLARK
GABLE LIFE MASK
CAST
FROM THE FACE OF THE KING OF FILMDOM
Clark
Gable (1901-1960) Gable was the most
popular actor for two decades but he would say "I
can't act worth a damn". "When I die they'll put on my tombstone 'He was
lucky and he knew it." He was wrong. Years
later no one has come close to replacing him. Could we think of anyone
else in the role of Rhet
in (1939)?.
This mask is enhanced to create a very impressive display. The cast from
Gable's face has sculpturally added ears, hair and eyebrows.
The mask is cast in Tuf-Cal a fiber filled Gypsum cement with polymer additives.
This mask is finished in Oscar Gold, then rubbed with an Antiquing overlay
to bring out the detail. It is then sealed to preserve it. The mask is
ready for hanging.
