CLARK
GABLE AS RHET BUTLER LIFE MASK
ENHANCED
TO CAPTURE THE KING OF FILMDOM IN HIS MOST ENDURING ROLE
Clark Gable (1901-1960) Gable was the most
popular actor for two decades but he would say "I
can't act worth a damn". " When I die they'll put on my tombstone 'He was
lucky and he knew it." He was wrong.
Years later no one has come close to replacing him. Could we think of anyone
else in the role of Rhet
in (1939)?
This life mask is enhanced by artist Erick
Erickson to create a very impressive display.
The cast from Gable's face has sculpturally added ears, eyebrows and Rhet
styled hair. The head is set so he is gazing lovingly at his co-star. He
is costumed complete with the classic ascot.
EACH
SCULPTURE IS SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE ARTIST.
The sculpture is cast in Tuf-Cal a fiber filled Gypsum cement with polymer
additives.
This sculpture is finished in Oscar Gold, then rubbed with an Antiquing
overlay to bring out the detail. It is then sealed to preserve it. The
sculpture is ready for hanging.
The Gable sculpture is a full size 1 to 1 cast.
