JAMES
DEAN LIFE MASK
CAST
FROM THE FACE OF "THE REBEL" HIMSELF
James
Dean (1931- 1955 ) Dean became not only an
actor of note, but one with a cult following. His fans cast him in a hero's
mold. His sullen, difficult, iconoclastic personality became an object
of admiration. His death from an auto accident in 1955 resulted in nationwide
mourning unequaled before or since. James Dean's film credits are: Fixed
Bayonets (1951), Has
Anybody Seen My Gal (1951), Rebel
Without a Cause (1955), and Giant
released in 1956.
This mask is enhanced
to create a very impressive display. The cast from James Dean's face has
sculpturally added ears, hair and eyebrows.
The mask is cast in Tuf-Cal a fiber filled Gypsum cement with polymer additives.
This mask is finished in Silver Screen Silver, then rubbed with an Antiquing
overlay to bring out the detail. It is then sealed to preserve it. This
is a full scale 1 to 1 cast. The mask is ready for hanging.
