Brando (1924- ) This cast has been enhanced
to represent Brando
as the Godfather
(1972) . As the ageing head of a gangland family, Brando was superb. His
portrayal of Don Corleone
was perhaps the highlight of his career and won him his second Oscar.
The mask has been
sculpturally enhanced by artist
Erick Erickson
to capture the face that is going to "Make you an offer you can't refuse".
It started with a life cast mask taken from Brando's
face then additions were made. The greasy slicked back hair, the ears and
the tuxedo for the wedding sequence were added. Every detail is seen to
create a very intimidating display.
EACH SCULPTURE
IS SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE ARTIST.
The sculpture is cast in Tuf-Cal a fiber filled Gypsum cement with polymer
additives.
This sculpture is finished in Oscar Gold rubbed with an antiquing overlay
to bring out the detail. The sculpture is a full scale 1 to 1 cast.
